TERRI ROBERTS, a 5’8 sophomore shortstop for the Lady Bears softball team has been named the MilesGoldenBears.com Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sunday, April 3, 2011. It’s the 2nd honor of the season for Roberts and the 2nd for the Miles women’s softball team.
The Prattville, AL native led the Lady Bears (12-18; 10-4) to a 5-2 and 10-2 win over the Lady Tigers of Stillman College this weekend. The wins improved Miles conference record to 10-4 and first place in the SIAC West Division.
For the week, Roberts had a .571 batting average, going 4-for-7 at the plate, with two home runs and two triples in two games. Roberts drove in 6 RBI’s and scored three times.
