Jeremy Cody, a 6’8 senior forward for the Golden Bears basketball team has been named the MilesGoldenBears.com Male Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sunday, December 12. It’s the first honor of the season for Cody and the first for the Miles men’s basketball team.
The Hoover native led the Golden Bears (3-3;1-3) to a 54-48 victory over Concordia-Selma College (2-7) in last week’s basketball game in Selma, AL by leading the Golden Bears to a team all-time high seven blocked shots, while grabbing ten rebounds and eight points.
Cody is first in the SIAC and fourth in the NCAA in blocked shots, while averaging 6.7 rebounds, 4.5 points and 3.3 blocks per game for the Golden Bears.
