LaDarius Thompson is a 5-8, senior, wide receiver/punt returner for the Golden Bears football team. Thompson has been selected Special Team Player of the Week by BSN (Beyond Sports Network) Athlete of the Week, in week four for September 22, 2012. It is the first honor of the season for Thompson and the third for the Miles football team.
The Fairfield, AL native led the Golden Bears in all-purpose yards with 142, returning 5 punts for 99 yards and one touchdown back for 90 yards, while catching two passes for 43 yards in the knock-out over Albany State this past week.
Miles record is 3-1; 1-0 in the SIAC, as they prepare to host the Tigers of Benedict College, as they come to Albert J. Sloan-Alumni Stadium on Saturday, September 29 at 6 p.m.travel to Albany, GA to play the Golden Rams of Albany State University in a 6 p.m. game.
