Julantate English, is a 5-9, junior linebacker for the Golden Bears football team and has been named the SIAC Defensive Player of the Week in week one on September 2, 2012. It’s the first honor of the season for English and the first for the Miles football team.


The Jacksonville, FL native had 15 tackles (9 solos & 6 assist), one tackle-for-loss, forced two fumbles and returned one fumble in a 30-31 loss to the University of North Alabama this past week.

The Golden Bears record is 0-1, as they prepare for a long road trip to Shaw University.
