Junior forward #Courtney English# (6’0) for the Lady Bears basketball team have been named SIAC Women’s Basketball Newcomer of the Week for a second consecutive week , respectively, after her impressive performance during week #9. It is the second honor of the season for English and the fifth for the Miles women’s basketball team.

English, a native of Atmore, AL., averaging a double-double with 13 points and 10.6 rebounds in three games. English averaged 2.6 steals and two assists while helping lead the Lady Bears to a 2-1 conference record with win over Benedict and Paine.
