Patton Chambers is a 6-0, junior, kicker for the Golden Bears football team. Chambers has been named the SIAC Special Teams Player of the Week in week five for September 29, 2012. It’s the first honor of the season for Chambers and the fourth for the Miles football team.
The Gadsden, AL native Kicked 6-of-6 PAT’s, went 2-for-2 in field goals for 26 and 24 yards and 9 kickoffs for 471 yards in Miles 50-7 win over the Benedict College this past week.
The Golden Bears overall record is 4-1 and 2-0 in SIAC (Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) play, as the Golden Bears prepare for “HOMECOMING” on Saturday, October 6 against the Panthers of Clark Atlanta University (1-4; 1-2). Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
