DAVID THOMAS, is a 6-2, 210, junior quarterback for the Golden Bears has he was named SIAC Championship MVP of the Game on Saturday, November 12, 2011. It’s the fourth honor of the season for Thomas and the 17th for the Miles football team.
The Opelika, AL native went 13-of-25 for 158-yards and one touchdown. He rushed 16 times for 46-yards and another touchdown in the victory over Albany State University for the 2011 SIAC Championship. Thomas led the Golden Bears to 334 total offensive yards.
The Golden Bears are the 2011 SIAC Football Champions, with an overall record of 7-4 and 5-2 in the SIAC.
