JUSTIN EVANS, is a 5-9, 151, sophomore punter for the Golden Bears has been named Miles College Newcomer of the Games in week nine on October 27, 2011. It’s the first honor of the season for Evans and the 14th for the Miles football team.
The Birmingham, AL native had six punts for 207 yards for a 34.5 average per punt, with three punts inside the 20. He had two kickoffs for 99 yards for a 49.5 average in the win over Stillman College for the 2011 SIAC Western Division Championship.
The Golden Bears overall record is 6-3 and 5-1 in the conference.
