DAVID THOMAS, is a 6’2, 210, junior quarterback for the Golden Bears football team was named the Johnson Memorial Offensive Player of the Game in week seven on October 15, 2011. It’s the first honor of the season for Thomas and the 12th for the Miles football team
The Opelika, AL native was 8-for-16 in passing for 147 yards and three touchdowns, while rushing for 49 yards and a touchdown in a 45-24 win over Kentucky State University this past weekend. He was also a Honorable Mention in the SIAC for Player of the Week in week seven.
Thomas is ranked 4th in passing avg/game, 3rd in pass efficiency, 4th in total offense, and 10th in scoring (TD’s) in the SIAC.
The Golden Bears record is 4-3 overall, 3-1 in the SIAC, and 1-0 in the West Division.
