FRANKFORT, Ky. -- After a tough start to the weekend, Miles was able to rebound with two big victories on Saturday to split its four matches at the SIAC West Division Cluster at Kentucky State. The Lady Bears (8-8, 3-5 SIAC West) dropped decisions to Central State (25-17, 25-15, 23-25, 25-21) and Lane (11-25, 25-21, 25-23, 21-25, 15-6) before picking up wins against LeMoyne-Owen (25-13, 25-16, 25-22) and Kentucky State (19-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-19).
Karea Copeland was nearly unstoppable for the Lady Bears, finishing with 63 kills, 32 digs and nine service aces in the four matches. She posted a double-double (19 kills, 11 digs) against Central State, has 21 kills and hit .354 against Lane and hit .464 (14-1-28) against LeMoyne-Owen. Freshman
Zion Rucker enjoyed her best match of the season in the win over Kentucky State, hitting .409 with a season-high 11 kills.

Jaida Lloyd came a single dig in each match against Central State and Lane from scoring double-doubles in all four matches. She averaged 18 assists and 9.5 digs over the four matches while also tallying 11 service aces. Junior setter
Saraih Taylor had a team-high 16 assists in the win over KSU and averaged 12 assists over the weekend. Libero
Eliyah McIlwain led the Lady Bears with 58 dig while adding 12 assists and four service aces.
Miles is back in action on Tuesday when it hosts Stillman in non-conference action. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
