Miles beat Kentucky State 77-74 in overtime on Friday afternoon at the Exum Center. Miles has now won 15 consecutive games and has beaten Kentucky State four straight times.
Jalon Andrews made a 3-pointer for KSU with less than a minute left in regulation.
Brandon Miller (seven points, three assists, three steals) had a chance to win the game but couldn't convert on his shot attempt, sending the game into overtime.
Yasim Hooker, who scored a 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, scored the first points in overtime to give Miles the lead for good.
Mykayle Carter (14 points) hit two 3-pointers, the second of which gave Miles a six-point lead with 45 seconds remaining. The Thorobreds missed five of their seven shot attempts and turned the ball over twice in the extra period.
Andrews had 16 points and nine rebounds to pace Kentucky State.

Truitt Spencer added 11 points, three rebounds and three assists for Miles, which plays at Central State on Saturday at 2 p.m.
