VALDOSTA, Ga. -- Miles closed out its 2025-26 season on Saturday when it completed its final round in the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Region Tournament at the Valdosta Country Club.Â
The Golden Bears, champions of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, posted successively better rounds over the three-day event but finished 20th on the team leaderboard, well behind regional champion West Florida. Miles finished with a team score of 916 (309-306-301), playing through wet and windy conditions that caused for play to be suspended in the first round and made for a long day in the second round.
Braydon Moye shot an even-par 72 in the opening round and was within five strokes of the lead. But he opened the second round with a double bogey on No. 15 and added another one on No. 3 en route to a 7-over 79 that took him out of contention. He rebounded with a 1-over 73 on the final day to finish at 8-over 224, tied for 69th overall and the best scored for the Golden Bears.
Adrian Raya (+13, 229) and
Jerris Baker (+15, 231) both had tough starts in the first round but came on strong to close the tournament. On Saturday, Baker was even after nine holes and shot 1-over 73 while Raya, the SIAC Golfer of the Year, shot 1-under through his final nine holes to finish 2-over 74.
Zostrianos Giordani-Gross (+17, 233) had Miles' best performance in the second round, shooting even par over the final nine holes to finish at 3-over 75. Each of the top four scorers finished in the top-100 of the event.
George Aguilera started the tournament but was only able to make it through the first round before withdrawing due to injury.
Jeremiah Bianchi shot 171 over the final two rounds to complete the tournament.
