Golf All-Conference 2026

Golden Bears dominate SIAC golf awards



The Miles golf team was recognized for an outstanding regular season by racking up multiple awards as the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced their 2026 All-Conference team on Monday.

The big winner was Adrian Raya, a junior from Lograño, Spain who was named Golfer of the Year and First Team All-SIAC after an incredible run that saw him with five top-5 finishes in seven tournaments, including wins at the Bridgestone HBCU Invitational last September and the ARCIS HBCU Championship in February. He was also named the SIAC Golfer of the Month in February.

Joining Raya on the First Team was Braydon Moye, a junior from Niceville, Fla. who won SIAC Golfer of the Month in September after winning the Dortch HBCU Division II Collegiate Invitational. He had five top-10 finished in six events and twice finished under par. Also on the First Team was George Aguilera, a sophomore from Kissimmee, Fla. This is the second straight First Team selection for Aguilera, who had two top-3 finishes in five events.

For the second straight year, Zostrianos Giordani-Gross, a sophomore from Brandon, Manitoba, Canada, was named Second Team All-SIAC. In five events, he had three top-10 finishes. Also notching a second consecutive Second Team appearance is Jerris Baker, a graduate student from Detroit, Mich. The former Freshman of the Year had two top-10 finishes in six events and his scores in relation to par have gone down in each event.

Head coach Leonard Smoot won the SIAC Coach of the Year award for the seventh time. The Golden Bears won three of their seven regular season tournaments and finished second in another. Aguilera won the Elite 16 award, which is given to the student-athlete who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the SIAC championship level in their sport while also achieving the highest academic standard among their peers.
