NEW ORLEANS -- Miles' trip to the Crescent City for the Ron Washington Classic got off to a great start but did not have the ending the program was looking for was the Golden Bears (5-1) won two of three games over the weekend.Â

Elyjah Anderson each had RBI in the frame. Miles added two runs in the fifth and two more in the seventh by way of a
BoBo Barnes 2-run single.
On Saturday, Miles broke open a close game by scoring four times in the seventh en route to a 9-4 win over Southern University of New Orleans. The Golden Bears led 3-0 but the Knights scored twice in the third and fourth innings to tie the game at 4. But

The Golden Bears were three outs away from sweeping the tournament on Sunday but gave up five runs in the bottom of the seventh to drop a 5-4 decision to Rust. Miles scored each of their runs without the courtesy of a hit. Wessels had a bases loaded walk in the second and
Kaden Burch added one in the third.
Antwan Jackson's sacrifice fly in the third made it 3-0 and a field's choice by
Gregory Willis scored Wessels for a 4-0 lead. But
