FINAL RESULTS
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Kamora Taylor earned two medals and the title "Fastest Woman on the Oval" in the SIAC as Miles placed fifth at the inaugural Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship.Â
Taylor set the pace in the 60-meter race. After taking second in qualifying at 7.71 seconds, she turned in a season's best 7.57 mark in the final to finish in front of Tuskegee's Anitria Sangster (7.71) and Kentucky State's MyRajah Rankin (7.72) to take home the title. Then, after winning her heat and placing fourth overall in the preliminary 200-meter race at 25.33 seconds, she posted a 25.12 in the finals to finish third behind Sangster (24.76) and Rankin (24.96).
Other performers who scored for the Lady Bears included Kaylin Robinson in the 400 (59.32, 5th),
Alexia Turner in the Mile (6:41.08, 6th), and Savannah Sparks (1.50 meters, 5th) and
Kayla Trawick (1.45 meters, 8th) in the high jump. Sparks also did well in the long jump (5.04 meters, 4th) while the 4x400 relay team of Trawick, Robinson, Tracey Thomas, and Raven Maxwell finished sixth (4:25.78).
