Miles v. Wiley 2024 BCWS

Miles selected for Black College World Series

Despite a tough end to the regular season, Miles baseball still has an opportunity to bring home a championship.

The Golden Bears were selected to participate in the 2024 Black College World Series, which will take place at Riverwalk Stadium from May 8-11. The Golden Bears will open against Wiley on May 8 at 12:30 p.m. This is Miles' second appearance in the BCWS, having finished as the runner's up in 2022.

The Black College World Series will feature six teams vying for the championship, three from the NCAA and three from the NAIA. Miles is joined by Bluefield State, a member of the CIAA but playing baseball as an independent, won 30 games this season. Edward Waters won the SIAC Tournament last week. The NAIA will feature Florida Memorial, which won the BCWS last year, Talladega College, which won the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Tournament, and Wiley University, which was the GCAC regular season winners.
