Rutledge wins another SIAC honor



For the second time this season, Miles outfielder Trey Rutledge was named Player of the Week by the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for his performances in three wins by the Golden Bears.

Rutledge, a redshirt sophomore from Irondale, Ala., posted a .571 batting average, .692 on-base percentage, and 1.000 slugging percentage. He hit a home run, drove in four runs, scored six times and was successful in each of his four stolen base attempts. For the season, Rutledge is slashing ..349/.517/.524 with four home runs, 31 runs batted in, 56 runs scored and 28 stolen bases in 31 attempts. He is currently second in runs scored, sixth in stolen bases and seventh in on-base percentage among all players in the SIAC.

Rutledge and his Golden Bears teammates will close out the regular season with a three-game series at Spring Hill this weekend.
