Kickoff time for Miles' first home NCAA Division II playoff game has been set and tickets are now on sale.

The Golden Bears, currently ranked No. 22 in Division II, are set to face Carson-Newman in the opening round of the NCAA Division II playoffs on Saturday at Albert J. Sloan-Alumni Stadium on the campus of Miles College. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. CST and will be broadcast on ESPN+. Miles is the champion of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference after a riveting 53-25 win over Clark Atlanta this past Saturday. The Golden Bears were the No. 4-seeded team in Super Region 2 and will host a NCAA postseason contest for the first time in program history.

This will be the first-ever meeting between Miles and Carson-Newman. The Golden Bears are 9-2 this season and have won those nine games consecutively. The win streak is the longest single-season win streak in program annuls and the longest overall in the modern era (since 1950). The Eagles, of the South Atlantic Conference, are also 9-2 but have split their last four contests, including a 28-13 loss to Wingate this past weekend. C-N is making its 17^th appearance in the NCAA Playoffs.

This will be Miles' third trip to the NCAA Playoffs and first appearance since 2019, when it lost at Lenoir-Rhyne. The Golden Bears also participated in the 2011 tournament, where they fell at West Alabama. For Carson-Newman, this will be its 17^th appearance in the NCAA Playoffs but they are also in the championship field for the first time since 2019.
