Edwin Kleinpeter was injured on a person foul and subsequently went into concussion protocol which ended his day.
Kamren Ivory can on in relief to usher the Golden Bears sole scoring drive to close the gap to 10-7 but Albany State would go on to score 38 unanswered points to close out the game.
The Golden Bears will face rival Tuskegee at home on Saturday, Nov 4. The Golden Bears will have to defeat Tuskegee to stay in contention for the SIAC Championship game. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m. at Sloan-Alumni Stadium.
