MONTEVALLO, Ala. -- Miles' four-game win streak was snapped Tuesday afternoon in a 15-1 loss to Montevallo at Jackson Field.

The Falcons hit four home runs while the Golden Bears (23-19) were only able to muster five hits. Nick Boines (0-1) took the loss, allowing 11 hits and 11 runs (nine earned) with three strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings. Matthew White and Noah Ledbetter slowed the offensive onslaught in relief but the big hole was to much for Miles to overcome.

The Golden Bears scored their only run in the ninth. A leadoff walk to Will Cantey was followed by a RBI double from Gage Humphries. Miles had a couple of other opportunities to score. In the fifth, Destin Davidson led off with a double but after a one-out walk to Cody Hamilton, Jackson Hughes grounded into a double play to end the inning. In the sixth, Malik Moses singled with one out and Cantey followed with a double, moving Moses to third.  But a short fly to center by Cantey was not enough to score Moses and Peyton Logan lined out to short to end the threat.

Miles closes out its regular season with a doubleheader at Shorter on Saturday. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
