ALBANY, Ga. -- After dropping a heartbreaker to Tuskegee, Miles hoped to get back on the winning track Monday night at Albany State.

Miles scored the first three points of the game but Albany State responded with a 17-2 run over the next five minutes to take control. The Golden Rams led 41-21 with less than a minute to go before halftime before
Robert Jones knocked down two free throws to cut the deficit to 18 points headed into the break.
The Golden Bears used a 13-2 run early in the second half, punctuated by a 3-pointer from
Nathan Sheffield, to close the deficit to 45-36 with just under 14 minutes left. But the Golden Rams answered with nine straight points and Miles would get no closer than 13 points the rest of the way.
Michael Green had 18 points to lead Albany State. Jones (10 points, 12 rebounds) was the only other player in double figures for Miles, which hosts Carver College on Wednesday night. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
