BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Forced to play off campus because of some renovation work at Knox-Windham Gymnasium, the Miles volleyball team went to the Bell-Wallace Gymnasium on the campus of UAB and turned in a dominant performance, hitting .300 as a team in sweeping Concordia-Alabama Thursday night.
Tatiyana Thomas had 24 assists, four aces and three kills and
Skyler Johnson hit .500 and had a match-high seven kills as the Golden Bears (6-19) snapped a three-match losing streak. Miles never trailed as it held the Hornets (2-9) to -.094 hitting.
Aniyah Robinson had five kills and four aces, D'Nautica Johnson had a team-high seven digs, and
Shatesa Harris had three kills and four blocks (three solo) for the Lady Bears, who are back in action on Oct. 30 when they travel to take on Tuskegee. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
