Miles scored four runs in the sixth inning to earn a 6-4, come-from-behind win over Montevallo Tuesday afternoon at historic Rickwood Field. The Golden Bears banged out 11 hits, two each from Keland Smith, Xavius Burden, James Gardner and Darione Adkison. Matthew White earned the win with six solid innings on the mound, allowing just three runs on seven hits while Justin Langdale pitched the ninth to earn his first save as Miles earned its sixth straight win.

The Golden Bears trailed 3-2 going into the sixth when the offense broke through in a big way, with the first five hitters reaching base against Montevallo starter Landon Smith (2-2). Burden tied the game with a 2-run double, bringing in Smith and Langdale. Williams' RBI single gave the Golden Bears the lead and a run-scoring ground out by Gary Mason, Jr. gave Miles some insurance.

The Falcons looked to get back into the game in the seventh against reliever Christopher Elias. But after loading the bases with two outs, the sophomore right-hander got out o the jam by inducing a fly ball to center field to end the threat. Montevallo, though, was not done. In the ninth, the Falcons put their first two hitters on base against Elias, which caused coach Kenneth Hatcher to go to Langdale. Despite allowing a run to score on a bases-loaded ground out, Langdale shut the door with a strike out of Michael Simmons.

A RBI single by Langdale in the bottom of the first tied the game at 1 and a run-scoring ground out by Mason, Jr. had given the Golden Bears a 2-1 advantage after two innings. But in the top of the third, Jeremy Hyde clubbed a one-out, 2-run home run to put Montevallo ahead 3-2.
