GOLDEN BEARS WIN FINAL HOME GAME OVER TUSKEGEE

Box Score FAIRFIELD, AL – It was Senior Day for the Miles College Golden Bears (19-15; 12-6 SIAC) baseball team as they end the final home stand with a victory over Tuskegee University (11-24; 9-9 SIAC) Sunday afternoon by a score of 12-6 at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, AL.

Don Mack (3-3) picked up his third win with 5.1 innings pitched while allowing five runs (one earned) off six hits and seven strikeouts. Randall Cole went 3.1 innings with one run given up on two hits. Tevin Worthy (1-5) went 2.0 innings for Tuskegee in the loss, while giving up four runs on one hit, two strikeouts and four walks.

Randall Cole and Mason Davis led the Golden Bears by going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and one RBI apiece, and Braden Glass scoring three times. Justin Langdale drove in three runs and Carl Billingsley another two runs.

Miles scored first with two runs in the second, three in the third, one run in the fourth, six and eight and four in the fifth. Tuskegee scored two runs in the third, one in the fifth and seventh innings and two in the six.

The Golden Bears will travel to Huntsville, AL on Thursday to play the University of Alabama Huntsville in a single game at 5 p.m.
