GOLDEN BEARS SWEEP WEEKEND SERIES OVER LEMOYNE-OEWN
MEMPHIS, TN – The Miles College Golden Bears (7-9; 3-0) won weekend baseball series over the Magicians of LeMoyne-Owen College (0-3; 0-3) by a score of (9-1, 14-0 and 3-1) at Jessie Turner Field.
In game one, senior
Patrick Melvin was 2-for-4, scored a run and drove in one run, while sophomore
Courtney Kelley went 1-for-2 with two runs scored and junior
Julius Fain went 2-for-4 with a double and one RBI.
Starting pitcher sophomore #BradleyMcWilliams# (4-2) got the win while throwing a shut-out and a no hitter and eight strike-outs.
In game two, McWilliams was 4-for-4 at the plate on the day, while driving in two RBI's, Fain went 2-for-3, scored a run and stole a base.
Junior
Jeffery Jones (1-4) threw a shut-out game with four strike-outs.
In game three, Kelley had two hits off four trips to the plate with one run scored. Junior
Randall Cole drove in two runs while going 1-for-4 at the plate.

Don Mack (2-3) pitched a complete game, striking out nine batters and giving up one hit.
