GOLDEN BEARS BASEBALL TEAM OPEN SEASON WITH VICTORY OVER TOUGALOO
JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Miles College Golden Bears baseball team open season with a 3-2 victory over Tougaloo College in Jacksonville, FL today as the team play in the Edward Water Baseball Classic.
Sophomore pitcher
Bradley McWilliams from Lawson State Community College picked-up the victory with a complete game by striking out five, giving up four hits and allowing no earned runs.
Senior
Patrick Melvin led the Golden Bears with a 2-for-3 day at the plate, while hitting two doubles, one RBI and scored a run. Senior
Cory Wilkins went 1-for-1, drove in a run and ended with a base-on-ball and hit by a pitch.
The Golden Bears next game is at 3 p.m. tomorrow.
