MILES TO MEET ALBANY STATE IN SIAC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
FAIRFIELD, AL - The Miles College Golden Bears finished the regular season as the SIAC's first Western Division Champions with their best overall record of 6-4 and 5-2 in conference play, since former Coach Wade Streeter's 7-3 record in 2004.
The Golden Bears will face Albany State University (SIAC Eastern Division Champions with a record of 8-2 and 6-1 in conference) in the inaugural SIAC Football Championship game on Saturday, November 12th. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. at Clark Atlanta University Panther Stadium.
This championship game marks the second meeting between Miles and Albany State this year, as the Golden Rams defeated the Golden Bears 34-27, at the Albert Sloan Alumni Stadium in Fairfield, AL.
Tickets for the championship game are $20.00 and can be purchased in advance at the Miles College Business Office (205-929-1430/1431) until Friday, November 11 and online at www.thesiactickets.com through Monday, November 7.
