The Golden Bears had two players named to the SIAC Pre-Season All-Conference 1st Team and one on 2nd team. The players on 1st team are defensive lineman Christopher Bostock (6-0, 257, SR) from Hoover, Alabama (Carver High School) with a major in Communication. Chris finished the 2007 season as the six leading tackler (43), second in tackle for loss (10), second in team sacks (5) and first in quarterback hurries on the team, while wide receiver Derrick Hector was the second player named.
On 2nd team defensive back Vincent Hill (6-0, 185, SR) from Atlanta, Georgia (North Spring High School) majoring in Business Administration was the only other player named. Hill led the team in interceptions (6), fourth in tackles (47) and first in pass break-ups. Vincent is not only a leader on the field, but off as well as SGA President.
