Biography

2017: Shelton had an outstanding freshman campaign. He finished with 40 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and 8.5 sacks. He was a First Team All-SIAC selection and conference Freshman of the Year. Shelton was also named to the Don Hansen All-Super Region Two Second Team along with Freshman of the Year honors. His best performance came against Clark Atlanta, where he set single-game career highs in tackles (seven), solo tackles (six), tackles for loss (3.5), and sacks (2.5). He was second in the SIAC in sacks and had nearly 33 percent of his tackles occur behind the line of scrimmage.

Personal: Son of Lavetta Webster...was a two-time All-State selection at Bessemer City High, Honorable Mention as a junior and First Team as a senior...his favorite television show is Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
