Biography

Brown is one of two four-year players in the program, although she has a year of eligibility remaining as she continues her comeback from injuries that ended her last two seasons. Last year, in her return from a knee injury that ended her second season, Brown played in 26 games with seven starts, averaging nearly 12 minutes per contest. She scored in double figures five times, including a 15-point effort against Lane. In that game, she went 5-of-8 from the floor – including one of her two 3-pointers on the season – in just 12 minutes of action. She also had 14 points and nine rebounds – all offensive – against Selma University. Her season ended after suffering a lower leg injury in the opening round of the SIAC Tournament against Tuskegee…2014-15: Brown played in just four games during her sophomore campaign as her season ended after suffering a torn knee ligament. In her first three contests, she was averaging 14.7 points per game, including a 19-point effort against West Alabama. Her injury occurred in the opening minutes of the rematch versus West Alabama, where she missed her only shot in four minutes of action…2013-14: Brown started her freshman campaign as a reserve but once she entered the starting lineup, she was a force for the Lady Golden Bears. From January 6 through February 10, she scored in double figures (12 games), scoring 24 points against Clark Atlanta and 23 points against both Stillman and Tuskegee. She added a 24-point effort against Fort Valley State in the opening round of the SIAC Tournament while also posting her only double-double of the season (14 points, 12 rebounds) against Lane.
