Make it three straight weeks and 10 career honors for Miles outside hitter Karea Copeland, who was named Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week as the Lady Bears went 4-1.

Copeland, a sophomore from Newnan, Ga., hit .262 this week and led the SIAC in kills (78) and kills per set (4.88) over five matches. She also added 46 digs, five blocks (one solo), eight assists, and six service aces. She had three double-doubles this week, including a 21-kill, 12-dig effort in a straight-set win over Kentucky State. She was near-flawless in her attack in a win over Lane (10-0-19, .526) and she now has double-digit kills in 13 straight matches and 16-of-17 matches on the season. Copeland is currently fourth in all of Division II in total kills (254) and 12th in kills per set (4.16).

Copeland and the Lady Bears are back in action tonight as they travel to face Oakwood. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
