Two Miles women's basketball players were selected to the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference postseason teams, which were announced on Wednesday. Senior guards
Iemyiah Harris and
Feliah Greer were honored for their play during the 2024-25 campaign.Â
Harris, from Anniston, Ala., was chosen to the Second Team. She was the Preseason Player of the Year and a two-time All-SIAC selection. She suffered an injury in the opening minutes of the first game of the year that caused her to miss time. She still led the Lady Bears in scoring while shooting 33 percent on 3-pointers and 90 percent on free throws. On the season, she is averaging 10.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals. She had 10 games in double figures, including a season-high 24 points in a win over Lane. Over her last 10 games, she is averaging 12.9 points with three games of at least 20 points and four games where she made at least four 3-pointers.
Greer, from Lafayette, Ala., was chosen to the Third Team. She was a Preseason Second Team All-SIAC selection. One of the most versatile players in the conference, she leads the league in total assists (90). During the regular season, she is averaging 10.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.8 steals. Her nine assists against Kentucky State is the top single-game mark in the SIAC this season. She has 13 games in double-figure scoring and 10 games with at least seven rebounds.
The Lady Bears open SiAC Tournament play on Wednesday against East Division No. 4 seed Savannah State. Tip-off is scheduled for 10 a.m.
