Miles linebacker Robert Williams was named to the All-Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference team, as released by the conference office this afternoon. The team was chosen by selection of the SIAC head football coaches. It is the first time Williams has been honored.

Williams, a redshirt junior from Union Springs, Ala., was named to the second Teams. In his first season as a full-time starter, he is third in the SIAC in total tackles (91) and tackles per game (8.3). He had a career-high 13 tackles against Division I Morgan State at the Circle City Classic. He also had 10 tackles against SIAC opponents Edward Waters, Clark Atlanta, and Fort Valley State. Williams also had 7.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, three quarterback hurries and a pass breakup.
