Miles quarterback Brinley Vandiver was named Offensive Player of the Week by the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for his performance last week.

Vandiver, a junior from Davenport, Fla., led the Golden Bears to their first victory last week at Lane, completing 19-of-27 passes for 257 yards and two touchdowns. His 70.4 percent completion percentage was his best of the season as Miles never trailed. He threw a 15-yard scoring pass to Marquez Mobley and a 40-yard touchdown strike to Glen Williams, marking the third consecutive week that he has thrown for two touchdowns.

On the season, Vandiver - who took over as the starting quarterback in Week 3 - has completed 59.4 percent of his passes for 1,260 yards and seven touchdowns. He is set to lead the Golden Bears into their matchup against Clark Atlanta on Saturday for Homecoming, with kickoff set for 2 p.m.
