Ivory earns SIAC weekly award

Miles quarterback Kamren Ivory was named Offensive Player of the Week in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for his performance in the Golden Bears' win over Benedict.

Ivory, a redshirt junior from Birmingham, Ala., came off a three-week layoff to rack up 310 yards of total offense. He was 17-of-25 for 243 yards passing with two touchdowns. He also added a game-high 62 yards rushing - with a Miles season-high 55-yard run. This is the fourth time the Golden Bears have earned a weekly SIAC award in  2024 after Keith Green (twice) and Matthew Yafondo both won SIAC Newcomer of the Week honors this year.

This season, Ivory has completed 54 percent of his passes for 1,064 yards and eight touchdowns for the Golden Bears. He will be back in action when Miles hosts Morehouse on Saturday for Senior Day. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
