Miles has changed the kickoff time of its Homecoming contest against Central State. The two teams will do battle beginning at 1 p.m. Central Daylight Time.
Everyone who comes onto the Miles College campus on Saturday must have a ticket to enter, whether you are attending the game or not. Ticket sales will end on Thursday at 6 p.m. and will not be reopened. Fans may purchase tickets by downloading the Hometown Ticketing app or by going to the ticket link on milesgoldenbears.com. A clear bag policy will be in effect and strictly enforced at the game.
The Homecoming parade will not take place on Saturday but will be rescheduled. Gates will open at 9 a.m. for tailgaters to set up. The Miles College campus will close immediately at 6 p.m. on game day.
The Golden Bears enter the contest on Saturday with a 2-2 record but have won both of their conference games and look to go 3-0 in SIAC play after a big road win at Allen last week. Central State is 1-3 overall, 1-1 in the SIAC after dropping a road contest at Albany State. Saturday will mark the 11th meeting between the two teams with Miles having won eight times, including a 40-7 last season. In fact, the Marauders have not won in their previous four visits to Fairfield, with a 55-4 loss coming in their last visit in 2021.
