Lady Bears close road trip with a dominate 3-0 performance against the Lady Eagles of Pensacola College.
After dropping three straight road matches against the Warhawks of AUM, the Tigers of UWA and the Mulerider of SAU, the Lady Bears firepower proved to be too much for the Lady Eagles of Pensacola Christian College to handle. The Lady Bears got off to an early 4-0 lead and never looked back. The Lady Bears ended set one on a 15-5 run, winning the set 25-10. Set two was much of the same as the Lady Bears ended the set on an 18-8 run to for a 25-15 win. The Lady Bears never let up and dominated the third set 25-11 to close out the match.
The Lady Bears will be back in action this weekend when they travel to Suwanee, GA, to participate in the SIAC Crossover, which pits SIAC Eastern Division teams against SIAC Western Division teams. Friday, the Lady Bears will take on the Tigers of Edward Waters University at 3:00 p.m. and the Wildcats of Fort Valley State University at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, the Lady Bears will be back in action against the Yellow Jackets of Allen University at 10:00 a.m. and the Tigers of Benedict College at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, the Lady Bears will close out the Crossover against the defending SIAC Champions when they face off against the Badgers of Spring Hill College at 5:00 p.m.
