Personal Best Highlights Recent XC Meet

| By:
Fariburn, GA—A personal record (PR) by sophomore Alexia Turner highlighted the most recent competition for the Miles College cross country teams. The Alexander ASICS Invitational, hosted by Clayton State University, took place at Bouckaert Farms on Saturday Morning. Turner's personal best of 23:49.25 happened in the third race of the day, behind the men's 8K and the GA Boys 5K Championship Run. The time was good enough to give Turner her highest finish of the season thus far. The sophomore from Powder Springs, GA has shown continuous improvements in her times with each race this season, culminating in the personal record. She is expected to be a strong competitor for the Lady Bears in the SIAC Championships which take place later this month. On the men's side, runners Dmari Johnson (52:32.22), Rylen Walker (52:42.36), and Kanye Moreland (52:43.32) were the top three finishers for the Golden Bears.
