The Lady Bears dominant in the SIAC Mini Cluster to take sole possession of the #2 seed in the SIAC Western Division.

The Lady Bears dominant in the SIAC Mini Cluster to take sole possession of the #2 seed in the SIAC Western Division.
 
On Thursday, the Lady Bears fell to the Badgers of Spring Hill College 3-0 (25-14, 25-13, 25-12). Mya Broom led Miles with 10 kills in the match. Anya Creecy recorded 27 assists and Kiera Washington led the way defensively with 15 digs, followed by Chaiza Jones with 12 digs. Later that day, the Lady Bears rebounded by sweeping the Lady Magicians of LeMoyne-Owen (25-19, 25-21, 25-16) to avenge their loss to them last week.  Mya Broom (12), Kayla Johnson (11), and Laila Hester (10) all recorded double-digit kills.  Hester and Johnson recorded multiple blocks with three and two, respectively.  Creecy set her teammates up with 37 assists. Jones (18), Washington (18), and Aaliyah Sanders tallied double-digit digs.
 
On Friday, the Lady Bears defeated Kentucky State in four sets (25-20, 24-26, 25-17, 25-13).  Mya Broom had a solid performance, recording a double-double with 10 kills and 17 digs.  Washington led the team in kills with 13 and Johnson contributed 10 kills.  Sanders led the way with 17 digs and Jones added 14 of her own.  Johnson anchored the team with five huge blocks, followed by Hester with three, and Broom with two.  Creecy, once again, led the offense with 29 assists and Malena Catalia added seven assists.  In the nightcap, the Lady Bears defeated Central State (23-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-16). Johnson and Washington both recorded nine kills. Sanders served up three aces.  Hester added two large blocks. Creecy totaled 31 assists.   Sanders was tops in digs with 22, followed by Jones with 17, and Kayla Trawick with 14.
 
The Lady Bears closed out the mini cluster on Saturday with another dominant 3-0 performance against the Dragons of Lane College (26-24, 25-21, 25-14).  Kiera Washington got a double-double with 11 kills and 19 digs.  Johnson also recorded double-digit kills at 10.  Sanders, once again, served up multiple aces, leading the way with four.  Anya Creecy added 32 assists to her total.  Jones contributed 14 digs on the day.

Miles will be in action for Senior Night on Tuesday as they host non-conference foe, Talladega College.  The regular season will conclude on the road against Tuskegee on Thursday.
