RUSTON, La. -- Miles scored the first two points of the game but it was the only time it would hold the lead as Division I Louisiana Tech took a 106-54 decision from the Golden Bears at the Thomas Assembly Center Saturday night. The game was an exhibition for Miles and did not count towards its overall record.
The Bulldogs (6-1) shot the ball extremely well, shooting 57Â percent from the field with a lot of that accuracy coming from beyond the 3-point arc (14-of-27, 52 percent). The Golden Bears had some troubles in the first half but did a bit better over the final 20 minutes. Still, they struggled from the free throw line (56 percent) and from downtown (2-of-13). LA Tech, which enjoyed a size advantage at every position, also held a big advantage on the glass (42-21).
