Box Score

With a raucous crowd on hand, Miles played its home opener against Fisk Friday night, looking to snap a three-match losing streak.

But a ton of unforced errors put the Lady Golden Bears in a hole in each of the three games as Fisk (9-2) swept Miles (25-15, 25-21, 25-15) at Knox Windham Gymnasium. Alexus Moore had a team-high six kills to go along with three blocks (all assists), Kayla Ford had 11 assists, six digs and three kills while Kamara Daughtry had a team-high 11 digs for Miles (3-6).

As a team, Miles had 23 kills but 24 attack errors (-.011 hit percentage), which was not enough to match Fisk, which hit .183 for that match but a blistering .407 in the third set to close the deal.

Skyler Johnson had five kills, two digs and three blocks (one solo) for Miles, which is back in action on Thursday when it travels to Albany, Ga. to take part in the SIAC Crossover.
