Amanda Talley for the Lady Bears softball team has been selected SIAC Women Softball Pitcher of the Week for week seven, respectively. After her impressive performance this past weekend with three wins over the Lady Tigers of Stillman College. It is the first honor of the season for Talley and second honor for the Miles women's softball team.
Talley, a native of Pinson, AL (Jeff State C.C.), had an outstanding week as she led the defending SIAC Softball Champions, to a four game sweep of Stillman College Lady Tigers. To set the Lady Bears atop the SIAC and Western Division with an 18-0 conference record. Talley allowed two runs in three games, while throwing two shutouts (6-0 and 8-0) games and posted a 2.82 ERA, to improve her overall record to 9-4 for the season.
