LADY BEARS DROP DOUBLEHEADER TO UAH

Box Score 2 FAIRFIELD, AL – The Miles College Lady Bears (8-17; 6-4) softball team dropped a doubleheader to the University of Alabama Huntsville (21-7) by a score of 0-9 and 3-7 at George Ward Park in Birmingham.
Kayla Bowmaster (4-3) picked up the loss in game one for Miles, as she went 4.1 innings allowing two earned runs, two hits and walked three batters.
Amanda Talley went 0.2 innings and had seven earned runs given up off seven hits.
Kayla Blanchard picked up the Lady Bears only hit in the fifth inning.
University of Alabama Huntsville scored one run each in the first and third inning and seven in the fourth.
In game two,
Kayla Cox led Miles at the plate with 2-for-3 day and one run scored, while
Takieta Roberts and
Kayla Blanchard scored one run each.
Kayla Bowmaster (4-4) went 5.0 innings for the loss as she gave up seven runs (three earned) on 11 hits and three walks.
The Lady Bears will host Spelman College on tomorrow in a doubleheader at George Ward Park in Birmingham. Game times are scheduled for 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
