ENGLISH AND THOMAS HITS DOUBLE-DOUBLE IN WIN OVER CLARK ATLANTA
FAIRFIELD, AL – The Miles College Lady Bears basketball team improved their record to 6-5; 4-3 on the back of junior forward

Sammeika Thomas (Birmingham, AL) scored a double-double in the 50-49 victory over the Lady Panthers of Clark Atlanta University (2-7; 2-4) Monday night at Knox-Windham Gymnasium.
Miles was down 29-32 at halftime, while hitting just 8-of-27 (29.6%) shots from the field and Clark Atlanta only 7-of-37 for (18.9%) percent from the floor. Miles shot 37.5 percent in the second half, to the Lady Panthers 36.7 percent. The team hit 10-of-12 free throws for 83.3 percent and Clark Atlanta scored on 10-of-18 at the line.
English led the Lady Bears with a double-double in scoring with 15 points and 10 rebounds and hitting 5-of-8 free throws, two assist, one blocked shot and three steals. Thomas scored her second double-double with a game-high 13 rebounds and 13 pints, while going 7-of-8 at the foul line, four assist, four steals and two blocked shots. Senior guards

Charlesia Norman (Morrow, GA) added 7 and 6 points each.
Conisha Hicks led the Lady Panthers in scoring with a game-high 16 points and Erika Sumpter in rebounds with 12.
