LADY BEARS TAKE TWO FROM STILLMAN 5-2, 10-2
				
					
							
				 
				
				
				
			
									
			 BIRMINGHAM, AL – The Miles College Lady Bears (12-18; 10-4) softball team won their ninth and tenth conference game this afternoon as they defeated the Lady Tigers of Stillman College (3-17; 1-11) by a score of 5-2 and 10-2 at Jefferson State C.C. Softball Field.
Junior pitcher 
Heather Mitchell (2-4) went the distant for the win in game one, giving up one earned run on nine hits and five strike outs. Brittany Perry gave up five runs on seven hits for Stillman.
Sophomore 
Terri Roberts and senior 
DeAndrea Dawson went 2-for-3 at the plate, while Terri hit two triples and drove in two RBI's along with senior 
Valerie Pena and her two RBI's. Pena had the only homer of the game. Senior 
Kendra Ward was 1-for-3 and sophomore 
Tiffany Roberts went 1-for-2 with each scoring a run.
In game two, 
Terri Roberts drove in four RBI's, hit two home runs, scored two runs, stole a base and went 2-for-4. Ward was 4-for-4 and scored three runs and freshman 
Stephanie Woods had three hits out of four times at bats and scored three runs apice. Freshman 
Brianna Barrentine had two RBI's and one hit and Pena scored twice and walked three times.
Junior 
Kayla Bowmaster (6-7) picked up the win for the Lady Bears, while giving up one earned run and seven hits. Kylie McMurray got the loss for the Lady Tigers.
