DAVID THOMAS SELECTED HSRN NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
FAIRFIELD, AL –
David Thomas (QB, 6-2, 206, JR) from Opelika, AL., has been selected by the Heritage Sports Radio Network (HSRN) as the National Player of the Week fan poll in week eleven nominee. Each week HSRN announces a National Player of the Week from both the top DI-FCS and Division II action.
Thomas completed 13-of-23 passes for 158-yards and one touchdown and also rushed for 46-yards on 16 carries, including a six yard touchdown run. He finished the game with 204 total offensive yards. His performance led the Golden Bears to the 2011 SIAC Championship with a 20-17 win over Albany State and was selected MVP of the championship game.
