LADY BEARS OPEN AT HOME WITH CONCORCIA-SELMA
FAIRFIELD, AL – The Miles College Lady Bears basketball team will open season with the Lady Hornets of Concordia-Selma College on Friday, November 19 at 5:30 in Knox-Windham Gym.
Last year the Lady Bears finished 5th in the SIAC with a 16-11; 13-9 record.
Miles is led by senior point guard
Ashley Orphey and her 9.9 points per game from a year ago and 5.3 assist per game. Junior forward
Jessica Franklin and
Sammeika Thomas finished the season with 6.4 points and 5.6 rebounds apice and senior forward
Brandy Gillespie's 6.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game.
The Lady Hornets of Concordia-Selma come into tomorrow's game with a 0-5 record.
The team next game is on the road in Albany, Georgia on Saturday, November 27 with Albany State University and Fort Valley State University on Monday, November 29.
