Tiffany Hunter begins her second season at the helm of the Lady Golden Bears volleyball program.
In her first season, Hunter led the team to nine wins - the most for the program since 2003. Included in her slate of victories were wins over Division I Alcorn State as well as the first victories over Albany State and Kentucky State in 13 years.
Miles presented Hunter with her first collegiate head coaching job but she has a resume' of success that makes this moves a natural progression. A suburban Chicago native, she led her high school to a state semifinals finish in 1989. She then competed collegiately at Western Illinois, where she played four seasons at middle blocker for the then-Westerwinds. Twice, she led the team in blocks and she still holds the school's all-time record for career attack percentage.
In 2015, Hunter coached at Indian Springs School in suburban Birmingham, where she led her team to a 32-4 record and third-place finish in the Alabama High School Athletic Association's Class 3A state tournament in her only season at the helm. For the last 11 years, she has also assisted a variety of youth scholastic and club teams, most recently with the Southern Performance Volleyball Club.
Hunter is married (Victor) and has six children.
