MILES 3RD IN WEST IN SIAC BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIP IN OZARK
Atlanta, GA (April 22, 2013)—The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) announces the pairings for the 2013 SIAC Baseball Championship, hosted in Ozark, AL at the historic Eagle Stadium on Wednesday, April 24th through Saturday, April 27th.
In the first round of play Miles College Golden Bears (#3W) will face off against Claflin University (#2E) on Wednesday, April 24th at 6 pm.
The Golden Bears finished the regular season with an overall record of 12-19 and a 9-7 conference record
.
For the second year in a row, Stillman College enters this year's eight team double-elimination tournament as the top seed out of the West division after finishing the regular season with a 15-3 record in the SIAC, and 26-14 overall. The Tigers will face #4E Paine in the first round on Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m.
Finishing the regular season with a 15-5 record, Albany State University enters the tournament as the top seed out of the East Division after finishing the regular season with a 15-5 regular season record. The Golden Rams will face #4W Tuskegee, 9 am on Wednesday morning.
