JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Miles College baseball team (0-3) dropped game one of the HBCU Baseball Classic in Jacksonville, FL to host school Edward Waters College Tigers 9-0 this morning.

The Golden Bears could not get their bats on track, as they inked out two hits and had five errors. Senior first baseman Sergio Galloway (Columbia, MS) and junior outfielder Ryan Garibay (Monteca, CA) each had one hit.

Junior pitcher Chad Miller (Trussville, AL) (0-1) had the loss as he went 6.0 innings striking out eight and one walk, while giving up four earned runs.

Miles 5 p.m. game with Virginia State University had to be re-scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday) at 9 a.m. due to rain.
